What you type stays in your browser

All calculators on TakeHomeDesk run as JavaScript in your browser. Salary, hours, filing status, deductions and every other field are processed on your device and are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.

Information we collect

We collect standard, aggregated web analytics (pages viewed, approximate country, device type, referring site) to understand which calculators are useful. Our hosting provider records server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to serve pages; these logs are retained for a limited time.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised ads are loaded.

Cookies

The site itself sets no first-party cookies for the calculators to work. Analytics and advertising partners may set cookies as described above.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we do not hold personal information about calculator use, most requests can be met by clearing your browser data; for anything else, contact us at hello@takehomedesk.com.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
