What you type stays in your browser

All calculators on TakeHomeDesk run as JavaScript in your browser. Salary, hours, filing status, deductions and every other field are processed on your device and are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.

Analytics and your choice

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and which calculators people use. Analytics can include pages viewed, referring sites, approximate location, device information and interaction counts. When you first interact with a calculator on a page, we send a calculator-use event containing a fixed tool identifier, such as “money-pay-raise”. We do not include your entries or calculation results in that event.

Google Analytics uses cookies. You can turn it off below for this browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We also turn analytics off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Calculators work without analytics.

Enable JavaScript to view or change your analytics preference.

Your choice is stored in this browser. Turning analytics off stops future collection; it does not delete information already sent to Google. Clearing browser storage can reset this choice.

Embedded calculators do not load analytics. We send the page's canonical address, without query parameters or fragments, as its analytics location. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our analytics configuration. Learn more about Google's use of data from partner sites.

Hosting and fonts

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes network requests, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the service. Webfont files are served from this site with our other assets. These requests do not contain calculator entries.

Advertising

Advertisements are not currently enabled. We plan to fund the site through advertising and will update this policy and the site's privacy controls before enabling ads.

Browser storage

The calculators do not require cookies. We use local browser storage to remember your analytics choice; Google Analytics may set its own cookies when it is allowed.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. For questions or a privacy request, contact us at hello@takehomedesk.com.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
